Loved the beginning

The beginning was incredibly sweet, until you started speeding up and messing with the song. At the end it craps up and sounds horrible. But the first 30 seconds (until you start speeding up) are a pleasure to the ears. Just keep it like that the whole song, make a loop, or keep a relative coherence of tempo between parts if you add some. Whatever you do, just keep the first 30 seconds. That was bliss.

ah ok thx for the review and the help ill be sure to see if i can go back and fix this

Makes me think of Duke Ellington

Wow that sounds great ! It sounds like older jazz, pre-Evans pre-Brubeck... like Art Tatum-ish. If you wanted to make it even better, you might want to add a little detail to what your left hand is playing instead of the c, e flat, f, g flat, g cycle. Would you like to do a collab sometime? robi142@hotmail.com if you're interested :)

margarine responds:

It goes to F as well :P
I was just messing around. Seeing how much you newgrounders like it, I'm gonna work on something more involved. Thanks for your review!

sweet

wow thats sick! just wanted to know, what program do you do that with?

CrAz3 responds:

eh thanx man i use fl5 n fl 6

is that a lil' jon sample i hear?

right after the first gunshot... edit the bass drum. or put less of it. sounds weird.

CrAz3 responds:

yea i kno i blew out my speakers so i was using crapy head fone so i couldn't tell how it sounds

Now add drum n' bass

Just like the title says: just add some bass and some drums and you'Ve got a cover. A trio is always more jazzy than piano alone. :)

margarine responds:

Ooh, that's a sexy idea. I was just going for the showy off piano solo with this, but I'll think about it. Cheers for the review

thumpety thump

what's with the thumping in the background? there so much of it that it nearly makes the loop sound off key... we all have our highs and our lows, but this one didnt come out so great.

franklind23 responds:

thanks for the review..? I don't notice any excessive thimping, it's probably your speakers/headphones you are using. I use decent quality headphones when i'm mixing so apologies to those who hear songs differently

nearly

just take the annoying toc toc sound out. it sounds really out of place with the low guitar that makes it sound like drum n' bass. replace it with some staccato string ensemble chords in a minor key, or something discreet, or take them out completely for a more subtle loop. nice start.

TheReaperofSorrow responds:

Thanx for the review, I really appreciate that you took the time to write me something about my song, thank you.
